The
Classic RT design originally entered service in 1939 and 150 of
them served in London during World War II. Production resumed at
the end of hostilities and eventually 7000 of the buses supplied
almost the entire London bus network. They formed one of the greatest
standardised fleets ever assembled in the world. Withdrawn from
London service by 1979 they remain a timeless and nostalgic link
to a different way of life.

London RT’s used to look.

Routemaster days in London.

and nostalgia to any occasion.
