These
buses have been around in England since the 1920’s. In the
early days they were used as service buses but by the 1930’s
the obvious drawbacks of having no roof meant that they became redundant.
They quickly became an ideal vehicle for leisure use such as tours
around cities or providing seaside services. Nowadays they still
perform these two rolls but have also become a powerful marketing
tool to promote various products and events.
Some of which include Marks & Spencers, FHM, Queen Park Rangers
FC, The Conservative and Labour Parties, Lakeside shopping centre
and quite a few bands. Our Open Top buses have been used for many
high profile events including Fathers 4 Justice campaign, cup winning
football teams and most famous: The victorious England Rugby team
Parade in Central London. |
